http://www.kcts9.org/atm "About the Money with Josephine Cheng" Tuesdays 7:30 p.m. on KCTS 9. A look at the rising cost of college and advice for college-bound students and their parents. Airdate: Jan. 15, 2008
Scholarship is free money but they are not really the student's money, only the college's money meaning as a student you can't use it for anything else but college. Rather go find a decent job to earn real money to which you can actually use than wasting time earning money you can't use.
My friend took summer school before he was even a freshman. Took P.E. or something like art and got an A for 10 credits, a full both semester full of credits class. It does start in 8th grade. Make sure to go to summer school every year, except junior or senior year, you will need those to visit campuses and you will be done with highschool. 3 years of credits, free A's. I did the same my freshman summer and got ahead with Two A's. Do community service, strive for a 3.0+, grants, ect.
@blueswan1984 Actually when you're awarded extra they deposit it right into your bank account. I would know, I get quite a bit

It is spelled ridiculous. Clearly you didn't go to college. No you don't need a college degree to get a decent job!
