A Tribute to Gabe Violett

Okay if anyone hasn't heard, Spring Awakening is closing on January 18th, 2009. I swear I sobbed like a little baby for about 3 hours, but anyway I thought if it was this hard for me imagine how hard this must be for the cast. They are not only losing a job but they are also losing a family.

So I thought I would attempt to cheer them up by making a small tribute to every cast member. For the first person I chose Gabe Violett. When I went to see the show the past weekend I walked up to the theater and saw Gabe and Gerard hanging out in front of the theater. My mom told me to go up and give them the dvd of the tribute I made rather than wait till the stagedoor when there would be huge crowds. I decided this would be a good idea to so I walked up and gave the DVD to Gerard and he gave me a hug and then Gabe being the most awesome person in the world and gave me one of the cookies he was eating and said this is all I have to thank you for this awesome gift. He suddenly became my favorite cast member. I mean how many people can say a broadway star gave them a cookie. Not many. Also when I got back to the hotel I check my inbox and found this...

Hey, this is Gabe Violett
I just wanted to tell you thank you so much for the video. You made me cry when you gave it to Gerard, and I just watched it on youtube and cannot express how much I appreciate it. It really means a whole lot to me, and know that we're all (gonna sit down and watch the video together as a cast. So let me be the first to tell you how touching it is. Thanks :)

omg gabe was so amazing when i saw him and I'm glad that he saw this video... you have done an amazing job on these videos.. gabe is so amazing in the show and at the stage door... can't wait for more vids=D

This was really touching. It's very odd for me to hear of experiences with him or even run across videos about him because he and I have been friends for what feels like forever. I'm so happy other people are enjoying his great personality and wonderful talents. <3
