Every television show should have an obligatory "and Susan Sullivan as Maggie" in its opening credits. Does Castle? I don't watch it. No one does opening credits anymore...

It was nice for Chao-Li Chi to make the opening credits this season. On Dallas and Dynasty, "the help" was always relegated to the end credits.

ye brill luved it! ,mexicans used to play italians..ofcourse ..why not ..lol,it is easy say bring it all back today and axe x factor and all 'talent' shows..yes ofcourse, but i think they have succeeded in giving us the idea everything has its era and finish..although it wont apply to the afforementioned ,cause now we've reached the 'desperation' era..pity robert foxworth left..couldnt blame him, hearing his explanation..and he is a good actor..david selby was capable in his absence with repartie.

Man. how I miss Falcon Crest.

Even though the openings were amazing as is, I always wondered why they didn't use the falcon throughout the opening. Instead of the wine swirling, they could have used the falcon flapping it's wings to produce a sort of ripple effect between the cast pictures. And when it was time to show the cast pictures, they would have a falcon fade in (just like the one in the title) and the star's pose would be inside that shield. I never could understand why none of those design firms thought of that.

@leetonia ...and weren't they all gorgeous!!!! The first 8 of their 9 year openings were magnificent and each had their own unique style. If you noticed, the opening visuals and even the theme composition gradually got better and better as the seasons went on until in my opinion it all exploded in true greatness in the season 8 opening. I don't know what dumbass got a hold of this in season 9 -- but it was a COMPLETE screw up!

I guess that did come across as that but there was not point in having him in the opening titles in the later seasons as he did not really have any storylines. but as I said they shpuld have just kept him in as supporting cast member.

@MrInmyopinion The hired help?? Well yes that is what Chao Li was, but you do not have to sound so arrogant about it. In reality he was not hired help, but getting a hefty paycheck I am sure.

@TheFrogger15 Melizza died in a fire
I think this must be one of the best composed opening titles in the history of television. The score is perfect for the show.
