LOL! Your going to make me go into it are you not? Ok, Dryden (D) 5 time allstar team, Smith(S) (Dryden won 4 while both were playing, Smith won his when Dryden retired), D-5 time Vezina winner, S-1 time (D won his 5 when both were playing), D- 1st team Goaltender, S-1, D 4 time lead league in shut outs, S Never ect ect ect...I could go on but I don't wish to make you look like a bigger moron then you are..oh yea, he also won more Stanley cups than Smith-You look it up Big Nose!
@skyroe2 What does spelling have to do with the discussion other than prove that your reverting to it because your losing the argument? Just look at the numbers, they don't lie like you. And you got a Big Nose!!
@skyroe2 Ken Dryden didn't face 12 shots a night in 70-71 when the Bruins peppered him 50+ shots a game and he managed to beat the Bruins in 7 games. I watched every game and this started my hatred of Mr. Dryden. He was a magician in the net. He mad the ordinary save look simple, the extraordinary, normal and the impossible possible but unbelievable. In his later years he had a great defence in front of him, but he still played remarkably in those games. Billy Smith is in a tear below him.
@5inthehole dont forget billy smith. ken dryden overrated what he face 12 shots a game. the 80- 83 islanders not only greatest hockey team ever but the best team in the history of sports
@steelydave37 You must be an Islanders fans because most NHL experts don't say that. They either mention the 50's Canadiens that won 5 cups or Ken Drydens 76-80's Montreal teams. They did have one of the best shooters of akl time though, as Mike Bossy was king of the wrist shot and snapped them off at blinding speed in the nets. Trottier was also great. They were a great team, but just under those Canadien teams. (I forgot Potvin, I know!)
The NY Islanders of 1979-1983 are considered the single greatest team in NHL history by most experts on the game. Somehow I dont see that is Columbus' future

I had no idea we played them as the Barons until just now -- this team changed names a lot:
California Seals 1967
Oakland Seals 1967–1970
California Golden Seals 1970–1976
Cleveland Barons 1976–1978
