  • ok guys I need to clear some things up here.

    1. the brakes were on for most of the burnout

    2. the car is rear wheel drive ;)

    3. both superchargers and turbos are great each have pros and cons. BUT when it comes to pure horse power the turbo is the way to go for v-8's Case in point, The record holder uses a turbo for his 6 second pass. I do know that the top fuel cars still use a blower so you can discount superchargers either. but turbo lag is a thing of the past

  • While you are correct about the record holder using turbos you forgot to mention that it is twin turbo. A single turbo vs a supercharger, the supercharger will win every time. But when you have 2 turbos that is where you will be beating the supercharger.

  • sure why not. what about twin blowers have they ever done two different size blowers on a car, because the original rx-7's used a smaller turbo then a bigger turbo to lower lag.

  • i'll bet your have a civic you idiots need to get over the import domestic bullshit. maybe your 14 but not everyone on this site is still sucking there thumb and as far as no turbo goes check the fucking pictures

  • how do you do a burnout like that where the bak tires spin but the car goes no where?

  • it's a t-5 so you rev to 4k or 5 k then pop out the clutch and slam on the break then gradually let up until your barely hitting the breaks.

that is why you seethe car jump forward then stop suddenly. try it and tell me how it works or better yet video it trying it it will be funny till you master it

  • but remember mustangs have good low end torque so turbo lag isn't really a factor

  • i know. the guy down there started talking about a supercharged cobra. i drive an 02 gt. i know mustangs man. 03-04 cobras have forged internals and supercharges. that is what whoever said that shit was talking about. assjocky

  • Turbo lag isnt in the past..They build boost before the launch

  • Turbos suck dick on the street u would lose a race at a stoplight because turbos do not engage fast like supercharger turbos are only good for drag and maybe not even that anyway oh yah and u have to have a special exaust fir a turbo that makes it sound like your moms lawnmower

  • Props to you bro.

  • what a dumbass pure muscle is good with superchargers

  • gay

There is no true Cobra Mustang car in any year ----93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 2000 Cobra R, 01, 03/04 and none of the GT500's come STOCK with an automatic transmission for street production.

Shut your fat ass up you don't know what your trying to get into...

  • Good point. I worked a rotary custom shop for 6 months, the sequential turbo setup was sick. As for all-out power in our Mustangs, turbos really are the way to go IMO. It depends on what you're looking for though. Me personally, I'd take a nice 76mm snail under the hood rather than having gobbs of torque at practically idle.
