@CASSINOx depends where u live and how picky u are about interiors. like the style of both, dont care much for the interiors but if im comfortable then its all good. gto is faster, but is only rwd while u can get a charger in awd (not sure if u can get the srt8 in awd) but is avail. in the r/t trim. that is obviously good for snow while with 4 doors its much more utility capable than the gto. gto is cheaper, but the way i see it, u cant go wrong with either one.

@jb0177 The LSX physically is the smallest V8 made today which means more room around it for turbos/boost, why are the euro's after boost now? The LSX can get 100hp per liter NA if built right. GM LSX forever and best swap engine. Yes if the Germans kept the V10 in the M5 making 100hp per liter and added 2 turbos it would have been a great engine but bmw threw that away!! And the new M3 V8 for a smaller boosted 6?

@jb0177 Ha! No.

it chirped and its auto

@jb0177 -- ya your clearly a dipshit.. if they are poorly engineered why cant any foreign car beat its nurembering lap time? and yeah im sorry but if poor engineering means race engine of the year by 60 race car engine engineers.. then the LS7-R must be shitty... oh wait i think that year in GT1 le mans corvette won every race.. but thats poor engineering. you forgot what country is the best and always will be, sincerely an American Citizen ;)

@jb0177 or the zr1!

@jb0177 Difference of opinion. A Merc or Bmw use higher compression ratios and new technology ect. on production cars to have "advanced technology." American cars use "old technology" but last much longer with fewer problems. I can get a 4.6L v8 in my ford for 2500$ and if my BMW engine 3L engine went out it would cost me 7K+ Many large american engines are faster and lighter than their Euro counterparts, last longer and get Better Mileage. Who cares size/hp, mine will be better

whats the rear gears on that thing?

@jb0177 Not all, just mainly GM's, LS engines are fantastic, reliable, but as far as power goes, they'll always be limited if they keep using pushrods. Now don't anyone blow up at me, i'm not saying they're weak, they just lack efficiency aka HP per liter.
For example, and LS3 is a 6.2L 2V pushrod V8 that pumps out 425HP, 400+Horses is nice no matter what anyone says, but.. Mercedes Makes a 6.2L 32V DOHC V8 that pumps out over 560HP 2 engines basically the same size, both N/A.
This comment has received too many negative votes show
Sorry, but if a mercedes, or BMW had that size of an engine, it would be faster.
American cars and engines are poorly engineered.

@jb0177 You must not be familiar with the LSx engines.

Hey I live in the Netherlands, Europe. Awesome car!! a GTO is very rare here, only 3 in my country lol. My parents have an '05 LS2 GTO with the auto tranny and I have a '98 C5 also auto with the 3.15 gear ratio's. Vette only has the ziptie mod, GTO bone stock. They're dead even on the 1/4 mile or from a roll, but the GTO is faster off the line but can't keep up with the Vette above 120 mph. Vette is more economic on the highway but GTO is much more quiet and comfortable

@RandyMedion Thanks and nice cars. Does your Vette have an LS1 in it? It probably pulls ahead from the GTO on the highway because the GTO has the aerodynamics of a brick compared to your Vette. It is a very smooth and comfortable car though. Do you have the Holden Monaro where you live? Its a lot like the GTO but looks a little cooler in my opinion.
