Firstly, I would use a BTI ridge expanding drill to initially widen the ridge a bit more.
Given that the implant did not engage, snd that u cannot use a wider implant, I would have probably switched to an implant with taper and more aggressive threads. For eg: Straumann makes TE implants for this purpose and Nobel has nobel active.
Push comes to shove, graft, close flap and re-enter.
