A Fine Day Out - Part 1: Gillespie Dam

I took this trip solely because I saw it on Google Maps one day when looking for something else. Since it was a perfect weekend day and figured, what better reason to get out and ride.

@Jaythechauffeur LOL good question! I think I just got too complacent (stoopid) with the nice day. In the snow, I was nervous, so I was much more cautious.

@emptym01 I have been on that dam before, it would bw hard to tell you how to via computer... but i do alot of hunting out there by the farm fields. You can walk on the dam, its really cool and would be great for photos.

Hey I know exactly where you were! That area is just south of my work; why didn't you stop by? :) I find it funny that you posted about Spring Mountain Ski Ranch: I considered getting property there about a year ago for a possible future home, but it's too far away from the freeway and conveniences of stores and such. I like the KLR videos: it's helping motivate me to work on the DRZ soon.
