Kitschy scene from a trippy, cheap and thoughtful SF movie. Last half is best.

Movie is about the future history of android-human relations. set in the waning years of human civilization after the atomic wars.

From Creation of the Humanoids, a very trippy movie on DVD from Dark Sky films. Great story, cheap budget!

  • Where is Magnus, Robot Fighter when we need him? ;)

TrekFanCVG, you come up with the most interesting foreign sci-fi bits -- keep 'em coming!

  • It's an interesting film despite its budget shortcomings.

But was it set in the future...or the unimaginably distant past?

  • Robot model R-1 is an alien from "Earth vs. the Flying Saucers." The next two look like kids' Halloween costumes.

Calling this movie "cheap" is an understatement. It's a talk-fest filmed on minimalist sets that look like stage scenery. BUT, it has an intelligent script that actually presents some interesting ideas -- although the racial allegory is a bit heavy-handed. Boy, I just hate uppity clickers!
