  • dude... everyone wants to know about your vocal chain.. just 'fess up already. sm7b..... to..... lol thanks

  • @cruz1390 its cause its so unexciting! I simply go into the StudioProjects VTB1 preamp, into protools via a profire 2626. I wish I could tell you sexier things like avalon M5 preamp to a UA LA-3A compressor yadi yada hahah but nope ;) just a little 1000 dollar home set up.

  • What;s your set up!

  • I love this cover!!!!!!! You are an amazing singer!!!

I'm completely obsessed with The Beatles, and always have been. Therefore, I usually don't take well to covers. So this is a lot coming from me!!! YOU'RE AWESOME!!!!!!!

    <3, a fellow Beatles fan :D

  • Dude, awesome cover. Such a good song, and you sing it very well.

  • incrediiiiiiiiiiiible cover :) good joob man!! seriouslyyy its pretty good :)

  • @surrealshine,

Actually, you are wrong.... it IS very exciting because it shows you don't need Neve, SSL, UA, etc. etc. to make amazing sounding music. All you need is an SM7B... Oh and having an amazing voice helps. ;-)

PS. It's especially exciting for me, because I'm looking at getting an SM7B and I have the same hardware that you have (VTB1 and Profire 2626), so now I know what the SM7B with my setup will be capable of!

  • Just ordered an SM7B and an API 512c:D

  • @IamHymn75

The liquid Saffire pre's are not very loud and would not be the perfect choice for this mic.

Remember the SM7 is a seriously pro mic used on seriously pro albums and songs. It makes sense to get a good preamp to go with it.

For the money the ISA One by Focusrite is the loudest, most professional preamp going at the moment. Well worth saving up for given its Neve heritage.

  • @DJEDI296

The pre-amp needs to be as loud as possible for the SM7.

60db is enough but more preferable.
