The machine was put together with two 10 year old canoe ergs that were just sitting around not used. The whole idea was to test if two pulleys would copy the canoe stroke and from my experience this feels the closes to real paddling.

I put together two very old paddling ergs. The reason I tried this was to have vertical and horizontal forces. C-1 erg will not be like the on water feel without two pulleys and the forward movement to the paddler.
