wow! really nice work!
i also made some procedural trees. But they don't look quite that good.
But mine have leaves and shadows...
how did you make that "wrinkly" tree structure?

@DasAntiNaziBroetchen
The trees are made up of points (and in the end I just draw a thick line between each point). Each point has 3 variables: x, y and direction. A point's direction decides where the next point will be placed. Then I add a random value to make them "wiggle" a little ^^
Do you have a picture or video of your engine?

@Gunthermaker
I see..
How do you decide then when to stop them growing?
My nodes are a bit more complex^^ they hold information about how many leaves they can hold, how thick they are, and that kind of stuff.
They also hold the angle, x and y position. Like yours.
Of course i have screenshots, But no videos..

I might have oversimplified my explanation, it seems like you know what I'm talking about :)
There are actually 8 variables, including the x, y and angle, that cooperate in order to create this effect. Together they give the user neverending possibilities when it comes to style. For example, one of them controls whether the branches will "gather" at the middle or spread outwards.
Limiting the height is a simple matter of setting an arbitrary point-limit
