Yes, I'm aware how much lessons cost, and I still maintain that there are some people who are wasting their money taking more lessons than necessary not because they have a bad instructor but because they don't put in th extra effort that will enable them to progress faster.

I don't shout at my pupils, and do advice them on things that will help them with weaknesses, eg going to a mini roundabout and watching traffic to help with deciding on safe gaps. If they don't then we do it in car, I gain.

I knew most of the highway code from the age of 10, i would ask my parents questions about signs and rules all the time. When I talk to my friends about it, most of them know nothing! I know what you mean and i agree!

Wow I'd hate to be your pupil... lovely that you bitch about them when it might be the case that they just don't understand how to do something. As for them "making no effort" in between lessons, not everyone can afford insurance to practice in another car as well as paying the high cost of driving lessons... so yes, I think they do take it seriously. Maybe they just don't enjoy your lessons because you don't support them enough.

housing estates, high streets, town centres (although I think the average speed in town centre it 10-20 mph)
