Good to know about:

"Keen-Wah" Quinoa
A 5,000 year old grain that produces super nutritious sprouts.
Nutritional info:
Vitamins A, B, C and E
Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Niacin, Phosphorus, Potassium
Amino Acids
Protein: between 13,2%- 15%

Sprouted quinoa is a rich source of dietary fiber and omega 3 fatty acids ... in the body and helps it get rid of dangerous cancer cells and other diseases

Note: Quinoa can be sprouted quite a bit longer but it's texture changes profoundly, going from a soft crunchy sprout to a very soft sprout. If you sprout it long you'll have to use it soon as it won't keep well.

Transfer your sprout crop to a plastic bag or the sealed container of your choice - glass is good - and put them in your refrigerator - if you can keep from eating them all first ;)

Quinoa- soak 4-8 hours and sproud 1-2 days
Seeds- soak 4-8 hours and sprout 2-5 days
Nuts/beans- 6-12 hours and sprout 2-5 days

Store not more than 4 days in the fridge

Let me know what you think and how you like it- subscribe to my vids and friend me here! Thanks

  • Nice video! I have some chick peas soaking now...will see how it turns out!

  • @768Kayshan Nice!!!!! They taste delicious..remember it does not matter whatever instroctions say how many days to sprout them..if they are ready after 1 day put them in the fridge..specially if the tails getting brown or so... love!My book says for lentils 1-5 days sprouting and they sprout almost in the water because of temperature in my kitchen... :)

  • Thanks for the info and video! I want to start sprouting as soon as I buy a water filter, can't wait. Your sprouts looked so yummy! Can flax seeds be sprouted also? Or is grounded flax better? Peace and blessings to you!

  • @MarcSoFresh Dear Marc :) I suggest grounding flax rather then sprouting, because to be honest flax can almost not be broken down in the body.. if consumed just whole.. it releases its propperties when its grounded.. and it contains prussic acid or also called hydrogen cyanide which is devistating.. this is the kind of substance you also get from smoking :O so you want to go to chia or hemp..the best is to eat flax oil- because they can almost remove prussic acid when extracting the oil..

  • Good video!! I love cooked quinoa, but would like to try it raw, how does it taste raw? Does it taste like ? Is it easier to digest cooked or raw? Id like to saok wild rice, and eat it raw. Is raw rice safe to eat? Thanks:)

  • @xsliceofheavenx Quinoa is absolutly safe to eat- Its a grass- not grain..BUT I heard from a food scientist who did her doctorate on quinoa that eating quinoa raw actually has no additional benefits. In fact that the body absorbs the protein of quinoa better when it’s cooked. The enzymes (protein as well) that are deactivated with heat are more easily digested when cooked.

So here again try to experiment..hehe and allow yourself some cooked.. your body needs it otherwise you wouldnt crave it!

  • I like quinoa so much I am from Peru and we eat a lot of quinoa very cheap and good for ya

  • thank you this is fascinating!!! Your skin is beautiful and vibrant that quinoa must be doing its job :)

  • thank you, i did not know we can sprout keen waah..

  • the water in america smells like bleach

  • that's way too much protein in one serving. let alone one meal. too much protein in the body causes acidity and what the body does to balance out this acidic-effect is that it leaches out calcium from the body (teeth, bones, etc) . The WHO foundation recommends know more than 10% of your calories from protein.
