This is a revange for the Teutoburg Forest. Barbarians wish to catch Romans in ambush. But Romans catch them in trap. With one hiden legion.

this is fake, i´m sure arminius would have known of this `hidden legion`, by the way, you can´t just hide 60000 men to germans who live in that region and know that region

You all know how things would have ended up if instead of an ambush caused by a betrayer inside a forest, there had been a battle in an open plain. It would have been a massacre in the german part. The german tribes were at those times more or less at the iron age and they would have been able to do nothing in a real battle between armies in an open battlefield. An empire lasting 500 years in western europe guarantees that.

By the way the Teutoburg battle was a Roman defeat just because Varus was so cretin to enter a forest which is the perfect place for an ambush.
