I remember seeing these fellas live in Chicago and let me tell ya...a small venue, great audio and a the sax just rattled your soul...a band with little pop recognition, but truly a gem of creativity!
I went to a club in Nashville to see them. I sneered at the 3/4 empty house and took a seat front and center. Their next song was CFP and it sounded so great live. The bass tones went right to my sternum. At song's end I leapt up clapping and hollering as the band left the stage and the audience looked on with bemused stares. It turned out I was early and they were just doing a sound check. Mr. Sandman leaned over my shoulder at the bar later on in the evening, and we shared a laugh about it.
I was bartending at Peabody's Down Under, Cleveland during this act...standing room only and I allowed folks to sit on the bar so they could see. Classic, mature and in control...one of the best shows I've ever seen.
