@HalluciNation99 We built it and set it up according to the instructions in Gladys Laubin's book: The Indian Tipi: Its History, Construction, and Use. Excellent book - available on Amazon.

I like the fact that it's a real homemade tepee and not a factory one.

at :50 sec you wrap the fort 3 sticks.
How did you decide that one spot was the correct spot to connect them?

@AlanMolstad This is the way set up is described in the book: The Indian Tipi.

@revjoecool yes, but what system do you use?
I have a teepee i got from a friend and i dont know where to connect the sticks?
How do you know where to connect the first 3 sticks?

@AlanMolstad It's been a while, so I'm not sure. But I think you just measure your canvas from the top to the bottom on the back edge. Your canvas should look like a half circle when it is laid out flat. Measure from the middle of the flat edge down to the middle of the arc in the half circle. If you can find the book in the library, it would be really helpful.

How much canvas material did you need to make the tent?

@jdhobbes I don't remember precisely. Gladys Laubin's book: The Indian Tipi gives you detailed instructions and tells how much material you need.
