  • I'm the same as dimairt, one Protestant grandad and one catholic. One in the Royal Marine and the other in the HLI. Catholic member of the family were regular soldiers in the army when the war started and died fighting with their protestant brothers. Teamboy,we've got to stop this religious shite, because when those boys fought and died in France whatever branch of the Christian faith they belonged to they watched each others back and died for each other.

  • Thank the Lord we don't. Both of my grandfathers fought in WW1 at the Somme- one was a Prod the other a Tim. Away and read the Bible, oh sorry, didn't mean to bring religion in this!
