Phone Phreaking: Hookswitch dialing.

Dialing a phone number without using the keypad on a landline phone by tapping it out on the hookswitch (1 time for 1, 2 for 2... 9 for 9, 10 for 0)

Works on most modern switching equipment.

When I was a kid, I lived in Concrod Tn. Our phone company was the Concord Telephone Exchange. Their phone off hook tone wasn't the beep beep beep. Thepr off hook tone went like a siren and horn. Have you heard of that tone? Do you know what that tone device is?
