Jared and Natalie 11-27-07

In Texas, when Nigel approaches Jared at the ranch, he's disappointed to hear that Jared still wants to go through with his plans. Just as Nigel brings up Natalie again, she appears wanting to 'hang out' before their car arrives to bring them back to Llanview!

Once Nigel leaves, David arrives and expresses how he was hoping to catch a ride back with Dorian but how he must have missed her. Looking at David, Jared quickly pulls a piece of his hair, claims he saw a bug, then secures the hair sample in a tissue!

After David is gone, Natalie brings up the night before and questions Jared about where 'things' are going between them. As Jared tries to give her the whole, "I don't want to hurt you," excuse, she snaps and suggests they go with the flow and just do their best not to hurt each other! Just as Natalie and Jared share a kiss, Renee walks in, apologizes for interrupting then sentimentally tells Jared, "I so wish you would have known Asa." Renee then presents Jared with a box of the first fistful of dirt that Asa took from the ground the ranch was built on. Seeing Nigel standing in the doorway, Renee invites him to share a last toast to Asa - and his ranch.

Overhearing Renee making a toast in the living room, Clint and Nora join them just in time to hear Nigel say, "Stop... I can't let this go on." Making Jared nervous, Nigel then announces that rather than moving off to the island Asa left him, he'd rather continue serving them all in the Buchanan mansion. After Renee takes Nigel in her arms with thanks, Chuck appears, tells everyone the car will arrive in an hour then leads them all upsides to finish packing -- leaving Nigel to remind Jared once again of what his plan will mean for him and Natalie! Alone with his thoughts, Jared takes out David's hair sample and gives it a thorough lookover
