Here's a rare video of Robert W. Morgan in 1997 just weeks after announcing he had lung cancer. K-Earth 101 was holding their annual Radiothon and Robert W. made an appearance with Mark Kriski to talk about his disease. Jim Carson was filling in for Robert at the time and can be seen in this video too.

Thank you Robert W. Morgan. You know, he was one of the inflences that caused me to finally stop smoking after nearly 30 years. I gotta say, radio today isn't the same but I am glad that I listened to them when they were on the air. They made it fun and a little easier to drive through the traffic to get to work. It goes to say, you never know what you really have until it's gone forever. RIP
Robert W. Morgan and the jocks like him were truly a special breed and there is NOBODY like them today on LA radio. The music on LA radio today is bland and/or godawful and the dj's pretty much have no personalities to speak of. Does anybody even listen to AM radio(even FM is not what it used to be)in LA anymore for music(other than the Hispanic music stations, which usually have high ratings)??? You are missed Robert W.!!
Radio has been stifeld by the radio consultants...drop the boat anchors...Let the Locals Program...Bring back the "Rock Jocks" and lets start breading talent...Clear Channel Killed the Radio Star...
Radio is not worth the air it is broadcast on now-a-days. This is the way radio should be. Robert W., miss you on the Arm Forces Network along with the Wolfman, Bobby Ocean, Charlie Tuna, The Real Don Steel. One of the a few reasons I got into radio 30 yrs ago in highschool and retired 2 yrs ago. Thank God for airchecks and a bottle of JD on a cold, windy night. May God Bless
When Bill died all hope for radio did to.Now is safe to say radio is DEAD and never will return to live and Local.RIP Bill, and you to Real Don Steele, and thank you Don for giving me the torch to continue to spread Boss Radio to all thrill seekers.
It was Morgan, Steele, Frank Terry, Gary Mack, Sam riddle, Johnny Williams and so many greats on KHJ, and an amazing numer of 'em lost to cancer including Morgan, Steele, Bill Drake, and my dear friend Frank Terry. Lost him a year ago June after a close to 20 year battle...
