  • Hey, thanks for all the comments. It's good to be chatting about some of this stuff. My experience of life has left me in no doubt that this story is real. I'd encourage anyone to explore it in more detail and see for yourself if God is real.

If anyone would like a free copy of this video to use in churches or schools etc. Just get in touch.

  • @therealtruth123 Upon what basis do you judge and condemn?

  • @benboy444 And so what? There is no reason to obey bad and unjust laws. To punish people who brake them (and who were not even aware of the reprecussions) is vindictive, not loving. It does not follow that if someone creates you, you must follow everything they say. Just as a child does not need to follow sadistic and inhumane rules their parents have, so it is the same with this hypothetical god.

  • @therealtruth123 to not judge correctly, is not perfect. Because God is perfect, he is just. The only way we can be in a relationship with God is to be pure and blameless, as he is. But we have sinned, so now the only way to God is through Jesus. Although our sin may not seem severe (e.g. eating the apple), it must be as the only way to fix our problem of sin was to send Jesus to die on the cross.

'Stealing' the apple was more than that. It was making a choice to disobey God.

  • @benboy444 How is sentencing someone to *eternal* suffering a perfect judgment? It is not only contrary to all human ethics, but also to what Jesus is supposed to be preaching in the New Testament. It's barbaric. And you haven't explained how stealing an apple justified all of that punishment on them and the rest of their ancestors.

  • @therealtruth123 It's often quite easy to blame it all on Adam and Eve, saying 'Oh but if I was Adam I wouldn't have eaten the apple.' But in all truth, we give in to temptation every day. We make the choice (just as Adam and Eve made theirs) to disobey God and go our own way.

Because God is perfect, holy and completely free from sin, he can't possibly just 'forgive and forget' our sins and continue to let us live how we want. Because he is perfect, it means he judges perfectly.

  • The kingdom did come, if you consider that the church is the kingdom

  • Have a look at the original super condensed "History of Everything" concept by Neil Layton . Different stroke for different folks and all, but for me Neil Layton's book and animation tells the truth in a very clear and concise way.

Both my kids broadly uinderstood the big bang and evolution when they were 3year olds. Win!

  • Awesome video, and COMPLETELY true.

  • So...because they disobeyed one small rule about eating an apple they and their desendents (who didn't brake that rule) were condemned to death, pain and suffering etc.

    Wow.
