This looks like a technique for chiropractors who are too lazy to learn how to give a proper massage. How about using your thumbs instead of a lump of metal?
This is a great technique. I use SASTM instruments which were developed by David Graston also. They are in my opinion more user friendly. This technique creates more change in a few minutes than you can achieve with another myofascial technique in 50 minutes. That is not to say there isn't a place for other techniques, just saying that it is worthwhile and has its place among the myofascial techniques especially if you want to save the wear and tear on your hands if you do Rolfing.
I find it amusing that there a huge number of chiropractic "techniques" and they all supposedly work as well. To me it looks like the patient is getting nothing but a road rash.
@Shaidyn Wow your comment CLEARLY shows just how ignorant you are regarding this area of the medical field.
