XeviWorld:The last (of the old) one: EVERLONG (FOO FIGHTERS)

Hi there!

Well, this is my last video of this series I made on the "ready?set?go!" mode.

Let me explain: All the videos I made since this one were made with few or no rehearsing at all, in just one or two takes, with no microphones on the drum set, with a standard picture camera (Canon Ixus800IS), with no click track and with regular earphones. (Real drummers have specific sound isolating earphones).
And the few audio/video editing were restricted to a 0,08 part of a second of the MicroSoft Movie Maker. (It was little hard to perfectly match the hits.) But all in all it was good enough; until now.


I think it's time to move forward.
I really think I could be a much better drummer, and I'm preparing some announcement on that matter.

But don't worry. Videos will be appearing once in a while. Of course the songs you asked me. It's just maybe they will take a little longer to appear... ;p

Just be patient please. I'm on the way to play better.

EVERLONG is one of the best songs I ever heard and it's on one of the best albums I ever bought: THE COLOR AND THE SHAPE.

I really hope you like it, there are some mistakes, sorry.

@queenmcsleaze Thanks for the support mate! (y) ROCK ON! Since I started doing covers on You Tube I played very very few hours every week. Like 3h to 4h hours a week. So I just did my best with the time I had. I'm not crazy for perfection: There's allways a biger fish. I really had tons of fun doing it! HELL YEAH! THANKS AGAIN! X.

@darkgodofgames that's a fair point - xevi's videos do often have mistakes but they are minor, and he points out his mistakes: I have found his videos instructional - when he learns a dave grohl part, even if he gets out of time with the record you can see that he knows exactly what he should be playign to replicate dave. I don't want to kiss his ass anymore cuz it's weird but i will add - i think xevi only flails cuz he gets really into the 'spirit' of the track (abit like Grohl himself)

you're playing this well, but you seem to get out of time A LOT. and I know that playing the drums requires sound, but you don't exactly have to flail madly. this is indeed a very difficult song to play just because of the everlasting speed on the hi hat. otherwise you did very well, and since you did this back in 07, I would like to see how far you've come.

I've got a suggestion. Don't hit the kick drum, snare, and hat at the same time. It usually sounds better if you just leave the kick drum out.
