  • honestly, i could do without all the excess--i just want her to sing the damn song... it's such a well-written song, as is so much of her early stuff, but all the pantomiming and overly-quirky affectations really distract me...i love a well-written song, with an honest delivery--this is such a fricking great song, there's no need for theatrics....i dislike the jumpiness to make it unpredictable, it doesn't allow me to get into the zone of the song--but thanks for posting!!

  • @crackfarm76 lol! it's tori amos man. are you serious? :P

  • @haplesschild I know, lol....that's kind of why I haven't followed her so much since her first few albums...oh well, to each his own, right? That being said, I have much respect for her at being brave enough to be unique, and for being a great songwriter.

  • @crackfarm76 yeah, same. sadly. to be honest, since the beekeeper I really don't know what she's been up to. the beekeeper made me...lose interest (that sounds awful!). but to me it sounds like her voice, and how she uses it, has changed...so has her playing. I liked a few of the songs but it didn't feel as "raw" to me. Maybe as I get older I'll appreciate it more. :P no matter what though I still think she's a genius. ...and way better than so many others out there! :)

  • God, I love this woman. Eternally. <3

  • @crackfarm76 The "jumpiness" is just Tori live. I've seen her 5 times and I've never heard her perform a song live quite the same as it was recorded. Not quite. Her cadence changes. I like it personally. It's live. If I just wanted to hear the same thing as on the CD, why bother going to the shot?. But to each their own! :-)

  • Real Russian brides are there gettop5.info

  • she is a great artist hope she comes to oregon soon

  • God she's beuatiful here.... sigh

  • @crackfarm76 have you ever seen tori play live? theatrics is a natural part of her performance. she is passionate and yes someitmes quirky. i say embrace her ability to be spontaneous and unpredictable! many artists now lack such uniqueness.

  • She's really playing to the audience here. Very talented. Look at how she is facing the audience almost just as much as she is the piano.
