Brave West Point Cadets travel down from New York to fight with Academy Midshipmen in the high intensity sport of submission Ju Jitsu.

Some people from Europe think that all Ju Jitsu has striking. But it does not. Here in the United States, this is what we call Ju Jitsu, or submission grappling with or without GI. Most of the fights ended in 'voluntary' submission. TAP! SNAP! or NAP!

Modern day Jiu-Jitsu comes from Jiu-Jitsu spread by the Gracie family of Brazil. (Hence BRASILIAN JU JITSU). Even though Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu contains standup techniques for winning a fight, it is famous for its devastating ground fighting techniques.

SO ON THE MAT is where you will see most of the work happening. There are alot of intricacies, strategies and tactics happening, which the untrained eye can easily miss.

At any moment either person can quickly lose by being forced to resign due to pain or real choking. This is not choreographed Hollywood fake Van Damme, or Steven Segal nonsense. This is two fighters trying to impose their will on each other, and inducing a victory by applying a submitting move.

Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was initially specifically developed to allow a smaller person defeat a larger person by sophisticated application of leverage and technique.

Gaining superior position on your opponent and applying a myriad of chokes, holds, locks and joint manipulations becomes the foundation for this extremely fun and very realistic martial art.

  • @firedriver12 YA GUYS SERIOUSLY DONT YOU KNOW JUST BECAUSE YOU WEAR A LAKERS JERSEY IT MAKES YOU KOBE?!

  • it's a gay porn?

  • Oyt, in the UK Jujutsu is the correct spelling, and strikes are involved... do some research! amature

  • @nubianjoker That guy wasn't navy don't you see the big black Army t-shirt jackass!!!!

  • why is the navy guy wearing shoes even if they are wrestling shoes?

  • pretty even match up

  • im not gonna get into the shirt grab cause bjj practitioners wear a gui and its part of strategy but the footwear reguardless should be the same for both guys... other than that these guys know their passes and transitions well. they both had good jits. nicely done.

  • I am not sure if you know what a wrestlers ride is but basically they stomp on your calf and then stand on it. I have permanent scars from the cuts I got from wrestling shoes their. I still dont think it matters, but Its just a difference of opinion

  • that could be a moral dilemma if the ref doesnt call it, it doesnt mean its illegal, i have a bit of a prejudice against shoes that "dont matter" since i once got a nice piece of skin on my face torn off by shoes, i guess omoplata setups dont matter either huh?

  • its only illegal if the reff calls it. The shoes don't make a difference
