99% of people will attack you, your image, your character, your reputation, your background, etc when you express an idea or concept that is SO complete and total that they can't respond to it. They'll attack the messenger and dismiss the message. This has always disabled me ever since I was a child. The reason I admire Camille Paglia is that she's developed a way to fire back.
