I dont understand the part of assaulting the front, side or rear armor. If I assault a vehicle in the front it counts as being assaulted from the rear?

@CaptCamping yes, the reason behind it was more from a game balancing issue than anything else.

Man, your tutorials are awesome. I'm finally learning how to play the game and how things work. Just one last video on how to do close combats with numerous squads and i'm set to play.

@BrockUman Thank you so much for the comment. I actually had exactly what you're asking for, filmed onto dv tape.... and the tape split as I was pulling it to the computer to edit. The combat had two commanders and 4 other units in one close combat craziness. Literally, I don't think you'd ever see anything more difficult in a natural game. If I can get local help to film it again, I might try to recreate it.

Wait, i dont understand, if you get a penetrating hit does it mean you have to roll to see if it explodes, is imobalized, etc?

You are right I found that re-reading that part of the codex. Also I found out reading in some forums if you find a way of inmobilizing a vehicle on the same turn you can assault it and make auto hits.
