Reminds me - ice storm, Nov 96, N.Idaho, no power 5 days, Thanksgiving dinner cooked over a fire.
In 100 years historians will want to watch videos like this (real life).

We got pretty lucky out here in Republic. I had power back after less than a day, even though it went out every now and then.

We never lost our power, but had people living with us who had lost theirs for over two weeks. At one point, we had 11 people in our two-bedroom house. Crowded and stressful, but warm, and we were able to keep evertyone fed with a bit of my creative frugal cooking skills. Glad you are back on!
