Erm, what are people on about in here? The guy who developed/created Robot wars worked on both the US and UK series... the BBC never owned Robot Wars itself, the BBC purchased episodes off of the producers of robot wars, so BBC owned the footage and rights to the footage, which is not all that uncommon.

lets see here... ah, we have razorback, ziggy, tazbot, doall, the master, vicious-1, satoru special 4, mauler, Z from Fort Collins and La Machine. This was from the 1997 event in San Franscisco.

What do you mean stole it? I tend to see Robot Wars as being created in the USA, but was put in a basket and dumped on Britain's doorstep to be raised there.
