Have to say being able to check your training DVDs out when I find I do not know something is really helpful, many thanks. Saved hrs of pain! Just put a flying DVD on bigglesgsy youtube in part with help from a couple of your 'movies'

Nice tutorials!
But there are no "issues" with compound clips and audio. They behave just like normal clips. After expanding audio/video (as you did) all you had to do was trim the video to the left. No need to detach audio or any of that.

Suggesting the feature now. I, too, look forward to Apple updating FCPX through regular patches and updates, instead of making us wait years for a new "version". Love the videos. You've made me not regret my purchase, by far.
