@Michaelkoaksy You are correct my British friend. However the United States did provide over 90% of the manpower and equipment, while U.S. General Colin Powell was in command of the Coalition Forces. The UK's main roll in Desert Shield/Storm was artillery, providing support to the USA's 1st and 2nd Marine Divisions who lead the way in the opening engagement of the Gulf War, in the Battle of Khafji. The U.K. is the strongest United States allie. They are fighting in Afghanistan with the USA.
