Boeing's new military helicopter, designated the AH-6i, is a light attack-reconnaissance aircraft aimed at nations that cant afford the more expensive Apache or dont face serious enough threats to justify the more powerful aircraft.

  • dont mess with da lil bird

  • So is it an MD530FF outfitted or what?

  • fit that thing with a M134 7.62mmx51mm gatling gun, rocket pods, and two hellfire missiles, it makes a hell of a mess of mechanized infantry, hellfires hit the the two lead vehicles, rockets hit multiple other vehicles, and when the soldiers pop out the M134 cuts them down, they are great hunter killer aircraft, working in groups of 2-4 killers(gunships) and 1 or two hunters (radar, target assignment)

  • @HvPman why don't you look at the overpriced crap the Government & Law Enforcement around the country are paying for all that French made helicopter junk that they're buying first. The MD product is dependable, safe, low maintenance, high quality & keeps AMERICANS employed!!!

  • @HvPman actually it is converted from cheap helicopter i guess weapons cost more than helicopter itself

  • i bet it wil be super overpriced.

  • Who wants to bet the 160th SOAR is getting this first when it comes to us military hands?

  • @orlock20 Well,Indias defense budget isnt small so it do can do much more then most nations. India does a lot of pratice with their machines.

  • India's pilot average flight time is 120 hours per year. The average flight time for pilots of Pakistan and Brazil is about 180 hours of flight time a year. Lots of poorer nations buy the latest and greatest stuff and have no money left over to train them. The best most of can do is get up in the air and land their craft let alone take full advantage of what they have.

  • Ok wise guy, half the cost? We have two OH58 'Kiowas' here & one new MD/Boeing 500, if you flew the OH58 the same way it would turn into a 'Lawn-Dart'! 'Cheap helicopter not good, good helicopter not cheap'!!!! OH58s are nice if you want a flying sedan but if you want or need a flying sports car THIS IS IT!!!
