Ash cosplay and some news

Hi! Here's a video of the cosplay I made for my brother. He's gunna be Ash from pokemon! And I know the shirt under is supposed to be black, but he was just wearing a red shirt at the time. I'm gunna be DJ Celica from the game Beatmania! Well, we hope to make more videos when we have time and when we see our friends and stuff.

We will be wearing our cosplay at Sacanime in August. Leave a comment if you're going. It's gunna be awesome!

How To Make It:
Materials:
Large Blue Shirt
Yellow ribbon
White Fabric
Black fingerless gloves
Green stretchy headband (for wristbands)
Red hat
Black fabric
Green fabric
Yellow button
Shirt:
1.) Get a large blue shirt, (I got this from Michaels) and cut the sleeves off. It should then look like a vest type.
2.) For the bottom trim part, I hot glued some yellow ribbon around on both sides.
3.) For that seam thing in the middle, I marked where I wanted the top part to end, then cut it off, leaving me with like half a shirt.
4.) Put the bottom half 'inside' the shirt and pull it up until you get the appropriate length you want (I ended up having like 2 inches inside the top half of the shirt.)
5.)I hot glued it around, but not to the end of the top shirt so you have that little flap in the middle.
6.) Get some white fabric and fold it in half. From the fold trace half of that U shaped thing, making it the size you want.
7.) Cut it out. Unfold it so you get a U shape that's even on both sides.
8.) I hot glued it on so that the tips of the U are hidden under that flap.
9.) The hood is the hardest part. What I did was get some hooded shirt I had, folded it in half and traced it on the white fabric, making it long enough so that it connects at that button.
10.) Trace another one and cut them both out so you get two of the weird shapes. I then hot glued them together where the hood meets the back and top of your head. You should get something that looks sort of like a pikachu head.
11.) I put on the shirt and put the "pikachu ears" on my shoulders and adjusted them till they were just right. I them had my brother hot glue them on. (Wear extra layers under so you won't feel the burn of the hot glue! I learned that the hard way.)
12.) after you have the hood, cut two rectangular shapes out of the blue fabric left from the sleeves and glue them together to make it thick and glue it where the "pikachu ears" meet.
13.)Glue on a button and you're done! ^-^
Hat:
1.) Get a red hat.
2.) Get some black and green fabric ( I just got some felt material at michaels)
3.) I cut and sewed the black fabric on the hat, and then hot glued the green on it and you're done!
Gloves/Wristbands:
1.) I bought a green headband thing that was stretchy at michaels.
2.) cut it so it's long enough to fit around youre wrist, leaving about 1 and a half cm extra.
3.) I hot glued it together leaving a flap where the two meet sticking up. (use extra hot glue so it sticks together really well)
4.) Turn it inside out so the flap thing isn't visible and your'e done!
5.) Don't forget to buy fingerless black gloves (I ordered these from amazon.)

I just posted the directions on how to make it in the description. I hope it's not too confusing! Oh, and for the hood, I suggest just finding some hood pattern to follow. The way I did it was weird. ^-^
