Bon Jovi - Livin'on a Prayer (Live Santiago Chile 1990)
For those who don´t believe me about the backingtrack, simply existing of some background vocals & the Livin´ On A Prayer scream take a look at this video where the backingtrack can be heard very clearly when Tico skips a beat just before the chorus (with the key-change).

You can see the song here played without the backing & clicktrack (notice how the rest of the band almost doesn't do any backing vocals especially Richie & Alec during the refrains)

He was looking at the soundengineer or seemed to be pissed of by the fact that the sampler which supplies Jon with some help/playback on the high notes in the song didn't work.
I'm not saying that he can't sing, but this song is too high even with his range of singing. This song is just simply hard to sing. It has to do with the key of which the song is in.

no at 4:21 he wasn't looking at Richie, he was looking at Alec, who also made a mistake during the first refrain..check it out again..that's why Alec got fired in Bon Jovi..mistakes mistakes.

4:23-5 Richie hits what are not great notes.
4:53 keyboard clanger.
Bonjovi have been playing in Eflat for years. Many bands do. Guitars sound fatter and easier on singers.
Jon's vocal has his few note range around the top middle but really he is not makin it.
