EVE Online - Combat Covops

This is the result of roughly two weeks spent flying covert ops frigates with tackle and weapons. It initially started as the payout for a lost bet, but I had so much fun with it that I decided to run with it for a bit :)

However, it's definitely frustrating. Covert ops ships are built for astrometrics, not combat - most of them have abysmal DPS and very little effective HP, and what you can engage is limited. They're also relatively expensive, at roughly 20M per frigate. After a few days of experimentation, I focused on builds based on tracking disruptors, which were fairly effective.

@Throttle13 Nope, no macros -- not even a G15 keyboard. (They make my wrists cramp up.) Just a plain old ergo keyboard and a mouse.

@Trracer2 Lost nine of them in a week. (2x Helios, 4x Buzzard, 3x Anathema). The Cheetah just wouldn't die, and is still in my hangar :)

what kinda rigs do you use, dps rigs or tank?

@secoxxx DPS rigs, usually T2. It's the only way you'll break the peak regen on frigates with shield extenders.

Thats pretty awesome i have to say for those who don't play eve these are supposed to be ships that are meant for scanning ships and objects down and all the ships he was fighting were meant for fighting one was a destroyer witch is meant to be a tech 1 frigate popper which admittedly the covert op's are t2 and most those guys must have been pretty badly fitting.
