This is a recording of Jaali singing an Elizabeth Cotten song at a celebration for a good friend's 80th birthday. It was an evening concert for an audience of about 400 people. Since we don't have video of the concert, it is accompanied by pictures of Jaali through the years (age 3 to age 10).

  • i don't know. she sings fine. you changed the words to make them kidsafe. ok

  • acutally, these are the words that we heard on a recording of Elizabeth Cotten accompanying her granddaughter singing. Her granddaughter actually wrote the song.

  • I saw one picture of her with a feeding tube. Was she sick?

  • Who are you talking about?

  • It starts at 37 seconds and goes until 50 seconds. Isn't that Jaali with a feeding tube in her nose?

  • I'm not sure if you're kidding or not...that's just face paint...she's in her jammies cause we were camping.

  • then something sure happened to the song along the way. I hope she's learning to play like Elizbeth.

  • Oh OK. No I wasn't kidding, but I am a nurse so it looked like she had an NG tube. I'm glad she is healthy! She's a very talented young lady. :)
