I need some of that fx clear metallic paint but I have only seen it for £55 does anyone know any alternatives. if not white metallic would do

Damn i had it all wrong, i was using dry emery cloth on the spray paint instead of the clear coat, would have never ever thought of wet sanding and buffing the clear coat. I noticed you barely put down a coat of primer, how long did it take you to do that plastic piece. I usually use enamel paint, then a clear lacquer and do it over 2 or 3 days and my stuff never turns out as good as yours
