An experience of telemanipulation with haptic device. The slave robot is a Kuka robot. The master robot is the haptic device omega by Force Dimension. This experience is part of the ROBOCAST European Project FP7. The final goal is a robotized neuro-surgery protype.

  • One more comment. Ever thought to make product out of this? I use lots of Skype to connect with farway relatives and USB connected haptic interface would be pretty awesome for interaction.

    For example haptic chopsticks maybe? You can do quite much with those already like play some game. Add this to some moving platform (like Spykee or Roomba) and you could have some physical work done remotely.

  • what interface do u use to communicate with kuka. is it through OPC or RSI.

  • I have does same with a pc mouse and ethernet comunication...
