  • This game was available on many platforms. Including PC.

  • Hell no. The Mega Drive sound chip is shite compared to the SNES - it's barely better than 8 bit.

  • @nintygaming Nope, the Commodore Amiga was king when it comes to audio, Tho it has less channels, the sound quality was much better because it didn't have Sound RAM limitations unlike the SNES (which I think only can 64KB samples), the lost vikings is also on Amiga but that game is not a great example, there are some Amiga VS Snes vids on youtube which (except for pinball fantasies) are all better on Amiga, although in the end is what you prefer :)

  • Suddenly I got an impression - doesn't this game look like 'Commandos'? But as a side-scroller.

  • @DestroyMediocrity Oh yes, that it does. Many memories, in fact. :)

  • @bandnerd525 it was on multiple things.

  • never heard of this game in my life, but the music is SICK AS HELL!

  • This is one the greatest, and most unique games of ALL time. I absolutely love it. Its got the right amount of difficulty, so its not too hard even for the casual gamer. The music is perfect, and shows just how ahead of its time the SNES was with its unbelievable and incredible soundchip.

This classic should be re-released on Virtual Console. If the music in this version is from the PC, then that's strange, because it sounds EXACTLY and identical the SNES version minus maybe 1 or 2 new tracks.

  • @Aphexwolf

This is one of their first games! Also check out Rock n Roll racing which was completely fucking awesome. Btw, the three vikings you see in this game are also in the world of warcraft dungeon: Uldaman ;)

  • So this is how Blizzard got started?

  • @garudoh Played for PC, great version!

  • @bandnerd525 it's also on sega, thats the copy I have
