@ perFecto100, Jack Johnson was Fighting For MONEY! He could do what ever he wished For the Race with MONEY in his pocket, the Belt around his waist. Why he didn't Fight any Black Fighters, iF that was indeed the case, I would look to the promoters of the day to Find the answer. He was and is a Hero to Blacks, A Glorious Hero, who's accomplishment still radiates to this day. No matter who trys to diminish it with "he was only in it For himself crap.

Schmeling would have been the first one winning the title twice....when justice would ´ve gave him his chance vs. Braddock.

johnson never defended his title against any fellow black fighter. not sure why that was, but he cant be seen as a hero for blacks. was in it for himself.

Well he did show black people that they were not only physically equal to white people, but can also be physically BETTER. And he lived by this admirable rule "I have found no better way of avoiding racial prejudice than to act with people of other races as if prejudice did not exist"

i think blacks without him showing them that they were physically as good if not better than a white man, they just were not getting the opportunities.
what johnson (unintentionally )did show them is dont kiss white peoples ass.
