  • Veni Vidi Vici- "I came I saw, i conquered".

No olympic champion has to apologize to those who weren't there. All they can do is beat the people who were there and they are olympic champion. Whether Bobby Morrow was faster than Dave Sime or Leamon King is not the point. He doesn't have anything to prove. He was there and he won it. The rest is idle speculation.

  • Incredible, one of the greatest sprinters of all time.

  • Bobby was "hero" to many of us at Rotan High in the 50s. I have the pleasure of knowing Thane Baker and his wife Sally here in Texas. What a great time for the USA and these awesome men!

  • today, I have the honor of having this man as a friend, he is not so fast anymore, but still has charisma of making everybody smile. I've been doing some repair jobs for him, now he is living in Harlingen and I think I'm going to ask his spikes, the race ones, he offered them once but I didn't take them, now I'll do.

  • injury is part of athletic competition and as great as Sime was in 1956 Morrow was better. The very best athletes train and stay healthy, Sime was not mature enough in '56 to do that. Also worth noticing is the wind speed during that 100m. Never has an olympic100m final been run into such a powerful wind.

  • @44032 Right on. Why Dave Sime is even mentioned is odd; he didn't make the team. He wasn't at the Olympics. Morrow made damn sure that he won the Trials and was well-fit for the Olympics, and he made it count.

  • Track before steroids! Abeautifull thing.

  • @kobzster06 Yes he has very raw talent but he has to work on his start in order for him to compete against the big names right now. Also he needs to hit the weight room and bulk up for more power. And as stated before work on more 400m style workouts a la Gay,Bolt and any other Jamaican sprinter for reasons of endurance.

  • @kobzster06 Yes it was

  • @spurrjls What about Dave Simie wasn't Morrow afraid of him as well?

  • @dal4018 Christophe has incredible raw talent, and that's pretty much what he's running on now. His end speed is incredible. That said, he has a ways to go before catching the most elite of the world, but he's still very young and slim. I do think he has crossover appeal like Bolt, and anything to bring attention to track and field is a good thing in my opinion.

  • @dal4018 Appropriate nickname!
