Part 7 is Step 4, printing out the pattern to print actual size (no fitting to page or scaling) and checking the scale of the pattern to be sure. Then you tape the pattern onto the aluminum sheet. The direct link to the engine pattern is http://www.sciencetoymaker.org/boat/images/enginePatternJan09.PDF

  • when i try to print it then it only prints a big black thing that takes up the whole page

  • @TheBjman123 When you open the PDF file can you see the drawings? Can you try printing on another printer/computer? Make sure there is no scaling.

  • I can't find part 6

  • @DSReza500 There's a link to the website in the text area underneath (you might have to click to "show more." From there click to the boat instructions page which has links to all the parts.

  • Which program do I need to print the enginepattern. I downloaded it, and it can't open in any program I tried. Please Help.

  • @Scaream136 Any PDF reader software will read it. Adobe Acrobat is the most common, but there are others, all free downloads. They have professional versions, but you don't need those just to read a file.

  • @sciencetoymaker Cool thanks

  • i ate a tape donut it was good :D

  • @abcdefg89301 PDF stands for Print Document Format. I use it because--if you print without scaling--there are fewer problems with the image getting too big or too small. There are dozens of free programs to open PDF. Adobe Acrobat is the most common (the free version is all you need, not the paid version).
