Record from the early 1960's. This song was used in the popular Kodak commercials of that period.

  • The guy on the right is my father John James. He formed a a group "The John James Singers" after "The Wanderers Three" came to an end. He returned to Houston Texas where he had a successful career in construction. He has been retired for several years now and enjoys time with his Five grand-children.

Thanks for putting this out there.

  • @jjamesjr72 - Thank you for the info. We're always thrilled when we hear from the artists or their families. All the best to your dad and the entire family.

Could you answer a question about this song for me? Is the Wanderers Three version the actual song used in the old Kodak TV commercials back in the 1960's? Some people say it is and some say it isn't. I've always believed that it was. Thank you for your comment.—David

  • @VinylNostalgia My dads memory is not what it used to be but he thinks that it was a "Kingston Trio" song. He could be wrong, but he is pretty sure. Thanks again for keeping their music going. Today is his 78th birthday and although he has no idea what youtube is, he was thrilled that someone actually still played the album.(by the way, he is quick to point out that the whistling on that song is him).

  • @jjamesjr72 - Well, I hope your dad is having a great 78th birthday. It was very nice hearing from you! Tell your dad thanks for answering my question for me.—David

  • Thank you for the update.

  • How exciting, that is my brother on the left, Tim Evans. Thanks for posting this.

  • @ggauntann - Hey, that's pretty cool. Can you tell us anything about him and his singing career. Is he still around and performing? Thanks for your comment.

  • I remember that commercial, I remember it being sung by a woman. A very beautiful song thanks :)

  • I certainly remember Elaine McKenna from her days at Channel 9,Melbourne. One of the nicest people you'd ever wish to meet. Taken from us far too soon.

  • A moving song well-performed here .I've got the EP bought in France in the early sixties and I recently bought the Stéreo LP on Ebay .Great sound. Thanks for downloading and for the memories

  • Tim Evans married a singer, Elaine McKenna who was from Melbourne, Australia. They eventually moved back there where worked in television. Initially he hosted tv shows and eventually became a television writer. Tim is now retired and his children are all in the music business.

Ernie Mills (in the middle) went into his family's mortuary business. He passed away some time ago.

The guy on the right is John James, not sure what has happened to him.
