31/12/2010 Συγκέντρωση αλληλεγγύης - Φυλακές Κορυδαλλού

Anarchists solidarity protest outside Korydallos prison, the main prison in Athens, at the time of the change of the year. This protest happens every New Year's Eve for the past six years. This year more than 400 people took part in the protest that interacted with the prisoners inside through shouting mutual slogans and fireworks. The main slogan was "The passion for freedom is stronger that your prisons".

My friend LeeAnn escaped from prison 20 or so years ago a few days before New Years and was easily caught a day or so after New Year. She didn't even try to get far away; she just wanted to be out on New Year. Bless all these people who don';t forget the prisoners. For at least 98 % of the prisoners, nothing they have done comes near the level of evil that we hear about the rich and powerful doing every day and paying for it with our tax dollars.
