F.Y.I. If your really interested in Star Trek get a book called "The real Star Trek" by Herbert Solow . I have nothing to do with the book or Herbert Solow . I saw it in Barnes and Noble in the cheap book section and it had an unbelieveable wealth of Star Trek stuff in it .

This is great. I'm a huge con hound and have seen the de-evolution of the modern convention. This video shows me what I missed, and I'm ever hopeful that the "good ol' days" of conventions come back someday. Some East Coast cons (and Monsterpalooza here in SoCal) still have that vibe, but we need more fan-run cons and less corporate b/s ones.

I went to this convention with a bunch of friends . We got there Thursday afternoon if I remember corectly , Thursday night some guy showed ABC promo comercials and a Star Trek blooper reel which I have not seen since . There were just a few of us and we were wondering around that night in the motel, heard the comercials and were then treated to all the blooper reels including the one I have not seen since . There were only a few of us in the convention room who saw this . It was really cool.

What a great video. I was there (attended Equicon 72 & 73 as well). Too bad you didn't get a shot of the costume contest with the girl wearing "The Costume NBC would never allow".

Wow man... I was there with a fiend from high school... got a load of autographs and spilled Majel Barrett's drink on her.. oops!

Robert Foxworth and Mike Farrell were in :"The Questor Tapes" if I remember correctly . Bjo looks like she was right out of American Graffiti .
Great footage. Thanks for sharing. Someone ought to try to build a library of such convention footage for the historical record.
