  • I agree with cheffienick Coverdale needed Hughes for the high notes,just watch California Jam and you will see for what we are talking about,oh Jcmsaf please tell me in which song Coverdale hit the high notes?

    Dio is one of the best singers with unique voice,but I love Doogie white,Stranger in us all is awesome album :) it's just amasing :)

    and Ritchie is my fav guitarist of all time!

  • I'm sorry, but Ritchie, Dio was far better singer and had more punch than Coverdale.

    David Coverdale needed Glenn Hughes to hit the high notes in order for it not to sound like a cat getting stepped on.

  • @cheffienick dio could only sing in one way coverdale is a more versitile singer and can sing the high notes listen to coverdale page then you would see. dio is a good singer but coverdale is better

  • I'm french, I have to remark that Mr Blackmore's says are not done too much justice in the translation, that's moreover filled with orthographical mistakes... Ritchie Blackmore has quite a personality... I have a french heavy metal magazine from 1983 where he discusses everything (from nuclear power to bad habits) but music two pages full blackened with interview...

  • I Love Blackmore!

  • dio is my favourite singer, but coverdale has a new album with whitesnake. and i have to say its pretty good. he even has doug aldrich who used to be a brilliant guitarist for Dio. Its not all about hitting the highest note, its about hitting any note with feeling.

  • Blackmore is hilarious !! ....you can never be sure if he's taking the micky ....scary that he can look you straight in the face ....and keep a straight face !

    i wonder what he's REALLY like ? ....fascinating bloke.

    And the best tone of any player in history ! i.m.h.o.t.i.m.a.o.a. { in my humble opinion that is miles ahead of anyones }

  • Deep Purple ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuules! We're fans!!

  • RONNIE JAMES DIO IS THE KING

  • @whitesnakeblog dude I am sorry to say it but you don't know nothing of vocal range

  • @Headbanger0624 Shake my tree, Still of the night... do you need more? The vocal range of Coverdale is just extraordinary (no DIO, no Hughes, no Doogie, no Plant, no Gillan, no nothing...)

  • @rideon77, very true. Graham had really powerful pipes.

    This is my list:

    1. G. Bonnet, 2. Ian Gillan, 3 Glenn Hughes, 4. Ronnie James, 5. David Coverdale
