This how I tie-in my new Bathroom and/or Bar plumbing to the homes existing Hot & Cold Water Lines. It' so EASY! Using "PEX" water lines makes doing the Finished Basement Plumbing Projects easy and fun!

  • I like the idea of these shark bite fittings but note that most plumbers I talk to here in Alberta are reluctant to use them. It looks like the cold supply tee is leaking. Is that just condensation or was that copper stub not yet fitted properly?

  • @funtasticm These fittings are the best thing out on the market! No the cold water line is not leaking, that's just a little water on the PEX fitting that splashed when we cut into the existing cold water line. I stand behind PEX (SharkBite)fittings 100%!

  • how would you rate this compared to soldering copper -if you were starting from a blank slate?

  • Have you ever had any problems with the shark bite valves or fittings?
