Inspired by the original 1977 teaser trailer and poster design that had an open road with a light at the horizon. We used a flat image and projected it in 3D space to give the effect of slow fade from black, to moving up a road, to 3 mysterious lights. With the typography, we wanted to remain firmly placed in the science fiction films of the seventies while adding a touch of animation and sound so the audience feels that they're part of a government cover up.

Actually I don't think your vision is bad. For the most part I think it's a very good re-imagining. The only thing I would change is the way the credits appear. the words should all appear simultaneously instead of gradually. But the way they disappear off the screen... is pretty effective even if a bit cliched because of first person perspective movies like Cloverfield.
