As a native of Meridian, I must say, Oprah is one to talk. Fattest state in the nation? I disagree. The obese and over weight residents here are generally age 60+ which is a steep contrast to the obese and overweight CHILDREN who live in other areas of the nation. Mississippi is a breeding ground for talented artists, musicians, and athletes, and many famous stars got there start here. Elvis, Haley Williams (Paramore), 3 Doors Down, Blind Melon, Morgan Freeman, and Kings of Leon to name a few.

This was b 4 my son's brain implosion in Meridian, he was only 25 yrs old. I had to rtrn from Ft Laderdale, Fla 10 30 2008.
